What to Wear: FNO Edition

With Fashion’s Night Out just around the corner, ‘what to wear’ is in the air. Well fret-no-more,
here is some style inspiration to help you pull it together.

Ladiesthe beloved peplum is everything and everywhere this season. Pair it with fitted bottoms, like these silk Marco Bologna gem print leggings, and a collar/bib necklace for a posh evening look. Don’t you dare hesitate to top it all off with gorge jewels, because gregariousness and glamour go hand in hand at style stalking social gatherings.

Gents, being casually dapper is the objective and its an easy feat when you mix and match the unexpected. Simply use a classic piece featuring interesting texture, like the Montedoro herringbone sportcoat, and contrast it with something casual, ie: yellow chinos, for instant style. Elevate the look from prepster to gentlemen, with a prestigious Goorin Bros fedora and eye catching Grenson wingtip oxford shoes.
Since summer is practically year round in Miami, look for natural fabrics to keep cool as a cucumber all night.

There is plenty of shopping and socializing to be done at FNO, so be sure to bring your satchel and your smile.

Contrast Salivation

Stella McCartney "Saskia"
Currently beside myself in anticipation of landing some cleverly contrasted beauties in my wardrobe.

Have to thank Stella McCartney for steering me in this direction, as her "Saskia" is the first I saw execute this style to ogle-worthy perfection. Why would one love this you ask? Simply put, the navy, white, nude mesh panels and sleek gold belt hugging the waist, seem reflective of nautical meeting the sexy-minimalist and making a baby who's Paula Patton pretty. In other words, the design is exquisitely figure flattering.

Obsessed rant aside, here are the aforementioned beauties. They're less hefty on the wallet and similarly spectac.

Commencing joy.

Sartorial Street Chic

Facing torrential downpour in the Sunshine State today, oh the irony, so its prime-time to flaunt chic boots (and preferably NOT suede). This look embraces the weather with a "come hither, I still won't wither" 'tude inspired by The Sartorialist. If the weather dries up, you can bet I would quickly opt for the suede ankle boots. They really take the look from slightly equestrian to polished.
