Haute at Work

Still loving Sophisticated Business fashion, I styled a few looks that will add some serious chic to your style in the work place.

Prints are haute this season this is a perfect way to bring them out to play. The Dries Van Noten silk print dress (below) is the focal point of this look. I polished the look with an McQ by Alexander McQueen leather jacket, aBurberry barbed wire bracelet watch, and a Gianni Bini satchel. The Helena Long earrings and Via Spiga croc-embossed shoes compliment the colors of the dress and tie everything together.

The next look I styled (below) will have you looking effortlessly fabulous thanks to the Moschino Cheap and Chic metallic appliqué skirt. The Givenchy fetish suede t-strap pumps and Christopher Kon crocco-embossed tote are a match made in heaven. I used the Ranjana Khan crystal earrings, Swarovski necklace and Nadri pave bangle for added pizazz to choose from. So it's either the bracelet with the earrings or the necklace with the bracelet for a minimal approach, or you can just go all in for the gaudy glam look.

Sophisticated Business

After reading Rachel Zoe's "What to wear to work", I felt compelled to style some office worthy looks for different types of business women.

Here is the first look I've put together with the modern business woman in mind:

I paired the Bird by Juicy Couture striped blazer with a green Thakoon ribbon trim skirt and a lovely cream wool Michael Kors top. Then I added a Loren Hope bib necklace and Kate Spade stud earrings for a sophisticated feminine touch. The Movado watch, Miu Miu Platform Pumps, and Dooney & Bourke satchel are classic staple pieces for this type of woman.

Style Roe

Louise Roe is a television presenter, fashion journalist, stylist, model, and now television host of the CW's brand new style makeover show Plain Jane. You might already recognize her from E! Entertainment's Fashion Police or The City, as the newest cast member this season. Louise was even the face of Bloomingdales campaign last season and has already graced the pages of most of our favorite magazines. Based on her blog Front Roe, I can tell you this girl is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fashion do's. So keep an eye out for Plain Jane which will debut July 28th, and in the meantime snag her "Front Roe" style with a super chic print dress by Tibi, a clutch by Abas, and a ruby cocktail ring from Raw Jewelry by JLRicci.

Got Gaga?

When SHOWstudio interviewed Lady Gaga, they asked her to describe her style in one word and she simply replied "Free". Even she admits that her "free" style made people feel uncomfortable at first, and now its become trendy. I believe Lady Gaga's outstanding talent, feminist perspective, and brilliant stylist, Nicola Formichetti who has styled everything from "Bad Romance" to "Alejandro", are responsible for Gaga's style evolving from artistic to undeniably iconic. Nevertheless, her style is truly an extension of her music and I love it. So this look is for none other than the Lady who is known as Mother Monster.
